Sinéad graduated with a BSc. (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin in 2006 and worked in the HSE for a number of years post-qualification. She first gained experience in women’s health and continence at the University Maternity Hospital, Limerick. Sinéad then moved to Melbourne, Australia where she worked in private practice before moving back to London in 2013. Here she worked as a Specialist Women’s & Men’s Health Physiotherapist and Team Lead in a leading private practice in Kensington until returning to Ireland in 2017. Whilst in the U.K. Sinéad completed her Masters degree in Continence for Physiotherapists and completed research in pelvic floor muscle training. She has presented her research at the Pelvic Obstetric & Gynaecological Physiotherapists Annual Conference in 2016, and was published in 2017.
Sinéad specializes in the management of male and female bladder, bowel and sexual dysfunction; pelvic organ prolapse; pelvic pain; pain or musculoskeletal dysfunction in pregnant or postnatal women; and post-pregnancy abdominal separation and pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation. She is qualified to perform vaginal and rectal internal examinations, biofeedback, manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling and clinical pilates amongst other treatment techniques.
